Job Description

The Finance Administrator is a key position responsible for the efficient and effective management of the financial operations of the organization. This role involves overseeing financial transactions, maintaining up-to-date financial records, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Finance Administrator provides financial analysis and reporting, aids in budget preparation, and develops strong internal controls. An ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. This role demands a strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, making it critical in supporting the organization's financial health and strategic objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Generate monthly financial reports and present findings to management.
  • Ensure timely closing of accounting periods and processing of all financial reports.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to improve financial operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide the necessary documentation and files.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational needs.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing information and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial reporting processes.
  • Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and recommend compliance methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial administration or a similar role required.
  • Strong understanding of financial procedures, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in financial management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills to present financial insights to non-financial staff.
