Role Overview

This is a remote, contract Filmmaker role focused on developing, directing, and producing visual content aligned with the organization’s mission.

The role supports projects that highlight underrepresented talent and authentic stories.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on script development and plan and execute film shoots.
• Oversee production logistics and coordinate with writers, actors, and other creatives.
• Manage or support video production workflows and ensure artistic and technical standards are met.
• Review edits, refine narrative structure, and deliver final cuts.
• Guide post-production activities involving editing, sound, and visual finishing.
  
  

• Possess skills in film direction and scriptwriting.
• Possess skills in film production and video production.
• Possess post-production skills for editing, sound, and visual finishing.
• Have demonstrated experience creating short films, features, or digital video content.
• Have strong communication and remote collaboration skills for cross-time-zone work and contract deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry-standard cameras, lighting, and editing software is highly beneficial.
• Provide a portfolio or reel showcasing previous directing or filmmaking work.
