Job Description

As a Field IT Support Engineer (L2) at our company, you will be a critical component of our technical support team, providing on-site IT solutions quickly and efficiently. Your primary role will be to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve networking issues and other hardware/software difficulties for our clients. With a blend of technical expertise and outstanding customer relationship skills, you will ensure seamless IT operations and contribute to the enhancement of our clients' technological efficiency. Your in-depth knowledge of current IT systems and ability to work in a high-pressure environment will drive success in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum user satisfaction. As an integral part of our team, you will be expected to travel regularly to client locations, making adaptability and proactive problem-solving essential attributes for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support and technical troubleshooting for clients within specified timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of service requests and resolutions for future reference.
  • Install and configure hardware components, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
  • Assess and resolve network connectivity and performance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on client systems to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to escalate unresolved issues and ensure resolution.
  • Educate clients on basic troubleshooting techniques and preventative measures.
  • Configure and troubleshoot operating systems and software applications as needed.
  • Ensure that all IT equipment adheres to security policies and practices.
  • Support the integration and implementation of new IT projects at client sites.
  • Liaise with third-party support services to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Continuously update skills through training sessions and stays current on IT trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience required.
  • Proven experience as a Level 2 Field IT Engineer or similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, configurations, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail when resolving issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently in diverse environments with minimal supervision required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations regularly.
