Job Description

As a Field IT Support Engineer, you will be the key point of contact for providing onsite technical support and troubleshooting to a diverse range of clients. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, resolving, and improving operational technology environments while ensuring system performance and reliability. You will need to exhibit strong analytical skills, excellent customer service capabilities, and the ability to work independently. This role is pivotal in maintaining technology systems that clients depend on. Through your work, you will facilitate smooth technical operations, increasing user satisfaction and enhancing organizational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite hardware and software support to clients in various locations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with computers, peripherals, and networks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain technology systems and applications as needed.
  • Collaborate with remote technical teams for comprehensive support solutions.
  • Document all client interactions and technical issues for tracking purposes.
  • Conduct routine system maintenance and preventive measures to avoid issues.
  • Ensure compliance with client IT policies and procedures during support tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand and resolve their issues.
  • Assist in the setup and support of audiovisual and conferencing equipment.
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and support techniques.
  • Provide training to clients on new technologies and system updates.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets using helpdesk management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT support or technical field service role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and networking principles.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites with a valid driver's license.
  • Certifications in CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco technologies are highly desirable.
