Job Description
A Fashion Designer is responsible for creating original clothing, accessories, and footwear designs. They research fashion trends, sketch designs, select fabrics, and oversee the production process. They may specialize in areas such as women's wear, men's wear, or children's wear. They also collaborate with manufacturers, merchandisers, and retailers to bring their designs to market.
Responsibilities
- Research current fashion trends, styles, and consumer preferences.
- Sketch and create design concepts for clothing, accessories, or footwear.
- Select and source fabrics, trims, and other materials for production.
- Create patterns and prototypes of designs.
- Collaborate with manufacturers or oversee the production process.
- Conduct fittings, make adjustments, and ensure quality control.
- Prepare technical drawings and specifications for production.
- Stay updated with the latest fashion industry developments.
- Collaborate with merchandisers and retailers to promote and sell designs.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Knowledge of property management principles, landlord-tenant laws, and fair housing regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in property management software and financial analysis tools.
