As Hostess, you’re not just handling guest inquiries – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Manage reservations and bookings: Respond to reservation requests and guest inquiries, maintain accurate booking records, update the reservation diary with guest details and special requests, and allocate reservations according to the table plan.

Welcome and seat guests: Greet guests warmly, escort them to their assigned tables, present menus and wine lists, and introduce them to the appropriate server to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Support restaurant operations: Prepare menus and guest information before each service, complete service logbooks, maintain an organized host stand, and ensure all necessary supplies are readily available.

Provide exceptional guest service: Answer telephone calls, assist with guest inquiries, demonstrate knowledge of menu offerings and wine selections, and address requests professionally and efficiently.

Maintain service standards: Follow standard operating procedures for guest interactions, reservations, and team coordination to deliver a consistent and high-quality experience.

Ensure compliance and safety: Adhere to hotel licensing requirements and health, safety, and fire regulations while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
