Performance Objectives:

  • Oversees the development of the Broking community to an ascribed standard of technical competency
  • Provides direction and leadership to the community of brokers within the geography across all lines of business
  • Ensures global Broking data strategy is consistently implemented by the Broking community within the geography
  • Manages and develops the Broking leadership team in the geography, within the matrix organisation
  • Escalation point for all Carrier issues, including escalation management of placement or claims within geography, working with Line of Business Broking Leadership
  • Leads the Carrier Management team to enable the execution of Geographic and Regional line of business Broking strategies
  • Holds all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation
  • Develop and maintain client relationships as agreed within the region
  • Creates a consistency of Broking activities across the Lines of Business within the region
  • Champion all global Broking initiatives, such as Broking Transformation, Operational Improvement, Technology Investment and Broking Competency Development Programs

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Professional qualifications such as ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience
  • Educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent)
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market and ability to understand potential conflicts of interest in CRB activity
  • Ability to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community, resulting in an understanding of client and technical issues and capability to solve
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
  • Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
  • High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management
  • Strong skills in problem solving, planning and budgeting
