Job Title: Factory Shift Supervisor 

Work Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

SHEQ:

Implement and adhere to all Lipton health, safety, food safety and environmental procedures to ensure a secure working environment for the entire team, while comprehending individual legal obligations.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of material handling ergonomics.

Contribute to reducing environmental impacts and costs associated with utilities, chemicals, and operational wastes by optimizing eco-efficient operations.

Foster a safe working environment including food safety and actively participate in the factory's hazard reporting process.

Monitor product quality against established standards, promptly report any product or packaging faults, detect process abnormalities, and take emergency measures to prevent them. Proficient in conducting basic quality checks.

Maintain hygienic operations throughout production.

Lead the emergency response team, investigate, and report any accidents or incidents and implement preventive measures.

 

 

Operations:

Ensures every shift Manpower utilization is well balanced according to skills and flexibility.

Conducts effective Handover 1 to incoming Operators by ensuring prioritised issues and concerns about Safety, Quality and Operations are well cascaded on time.

Conducts effective Handover 2 to incoming Coordinator

Conducts Lines Process Confirmation in accordance to set criteria for Safety, Quality and Operations.

Ensures Factory Management Operating System (FMOS) is updated on time and is accurate and shift report is generated and sent to the relevant departments.

Ensures Real Time Performance Monitor (RTPM) data are accurate and losses are allocated to the correct buckets.

Performs SAP Transactions relevant to Manufacturing full Operations from Blending to Finished Goods processing.

Ensures all Monitoring Files about Line Operations and Rework Management are updated on time.

Ensures Materials to be used are available and precise in terms of item codes and consumption, any deviations should be escalated 48h in advance. 

Implements and monitors Training Program for Operators & 3PL contractors.

 

Leads Manufacturing Lines Standard Housekeeping, 5S implementation and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Monitors Line performance in terms of Operational Safety, Quality adherence and Machine optimum run efficiency.

Takes immediate actions in time of Safety, Quality and Operation non-conformances and executes Escalation Protocol.

Coordinates with other Departments in terms of approved Trials, Manpower support and other Manufacturing Operations related requests.

Liaise with 3PL to manage manpower requirements based on production plan

Engage in continuous improvement projects such as Kaizen initiatives and prioritize minimizing production losses

Undertakes additional duties as required.

Performs on time escalations to Manufacturing Team Leader and Manufacturing Manager about Safety, Quality and Productivity non-compliance

 

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing company with high safety, quality standards and familiarity with GMP.

Teabag experience (particularly Perfecta, IMA), Filling, Overwrapping, and Case packing technologies with a minimum of 1 year is an advantage

Experience working as part of a collaborative team in the manufacturing sector.

Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Flexibility to work shifts to accommodate factory operations, shutdowns, and training.

Ability to adapt quickly to changes on the production line.

Self-motivated with a commitment to personal and team growth.

Ability to align work output with company requirements.

Possess Initiative and punctuality.

Intermediate computer proficiency.

Fundamental mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills in a factory setting.

Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) and mathematics.
