Job Description

The Factory Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and operate within stipulated safety and quality standards. This position requires a dynamic leader who is adept at managing all aspects of manufacturing operations, from resource management and employee performance to product output and quality assurance. As the central figure in the factory's operations, the Factory Manager must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage personnel effectively. Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities is also key to ensuring operational success. Moreover, the Factory Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that result in enhanced productivity and reduced operational costs.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the factory to ensure production targets are met.
  • Manage and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement standard operating procedures to maintain consistent product quality and safety.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent production disruptions or overstocking.
  • Develop and enforce health and safety policies to safeguard employees and equipment.
  • Supervise and train staff to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Prepare and manage budgets to maintain financial discipline within the factory operations.
  • Lead regular meetings to communicate production goals and resolve operational issues.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address non-conformance issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for managing diverse teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making capabilities to ensure streamlined operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety, quality, and production standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and production management software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions promptly.
