Job Description

A Factory Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the daily operations of a manufacturing plant. This role involves managing production schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, optimizing processes for efficiency, and managing staff to ensure smooth operations and maximum productivity. The Factory Manager also plays a critical role in troubleshooting issues, implementing cost-control measures, and liaising with other departments to meet the company's production goals. In addition, the Factory Manager ensures that the machinery and facility infrastructure are properly maintained to support ongoing production with minimal downtime. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, strategic planning capabilities, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all factory operations, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate daily production schedules and adjust resource allocations as necessary.
  • Ensure that health and safety protocols are rigorously followed by all employees.
  • Supervise and motivate a diverse workforce for maximum productivity and engagement.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and ensure machinery upkeep.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of raw materials.
  • Resolve production issues promptly to minimize impacts on the supply chain.
  • Prepare and present reports on factory performance and operational metrics to senior management.
  • Implement new manufacturing technologies and processes to increase efficiency.
  • Set and monitor production KPIs to ensure goals are consistently met.
  • Foster a positive work environment emphasizing teamwork and open communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of production machinery and factory operations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
  • Ability to analyze and improve production processes through analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with industry regulatory and safety standards is essential.
  • Proficiency with inventory management and production planning software tools.
