Job Description

The Facility Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the safety, functionality, and overall condition of a facility. This position requires an individual with a strong aptitude for leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of facility management and maintenance operations. The Facility Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, coordinating facility improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, this role demands the ability to manage budgets, evaluate facility needs, and implement strategies for efficient operations. By overseeing both routine activities and unexpected challenges, the Facility Services Supervisor ensures the seamless operation of the facility, consistently maintaining a high standard of service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of facility maintenance staff.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures to maintain efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Oversee facility repairs, upgrades, and contract management with vendors and suppliers.
  • Plan and manage facility budgets, monitoring expenses and equipment inventory.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to determine maintenance needs.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Coordinate emergency response and safety procedures within the facility premises.
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance requests by staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding facility operations.
  • Analyze facility data and reports to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility management or similar roles.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to facility operations.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
