Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor is an integral role within any organization, responsible for ensuring that all facility-related operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. As a Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee the regular maintenance and repair of all operational equipment, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and work to enhance the efficiency of company systems. You will act as the main point of contact between the management and the facilities staff, coordinating maintenance schedules and overseeing special projects. This role plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization's environment is conducive to both productivity and safety.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all organizational facilities and equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of external contractors and service providers.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs.
  • Manage the facilities budget and allocate resources effectively.
  • Supervise and support the facilities team, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Respond promptly to urgent repair and maintenance requests from other departments.
  • Implement security measures to ensure the safety of employees and visitors.
  • Maintain records of maintenance work and related documentation accurately.
  • Work with management to plan and execute facility-related projects and upgrades.
  • Ensure that the facility’s appearance and functionality meet company standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in facilities management or supervision.
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption.
