Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor is a critical role responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and management of facilities within an organization. This position requires a proactive individual who is adept at ensuring that all building systems, services, and infrastructures function efficiently and effectively. The Facilities Supervisor will coordinate and supervise a team of technicians and custodians, manage vendor relationships, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or compliance with safety standards. This individual will possess strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for all employees and visitors.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of facility management and maintenance.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of facilities staff and technicians.
  • Develop and implement facility management programs to meet the organization’s needs.
  • Schedule and manage maintenance and repairs to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Monitor facilities' budgets and perform cost analyses to maximize value.
  • Negotiate and manage service contracts with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure facility operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support business operations requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high facility standards.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or urgent maintenance requests.
  • Maintain records of all facility-related activities, inspections, and incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management or supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a team-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in using facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
