As Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will lead and manage dnata cargo maintenance, and terminal enhancement activities for all facilities and equipment utilised during daily operations in accordance with recommended and recognized international maintenance standards to ensure asset longevity and optimal availability of all building infrastructure.
You will deliver continuous improvement with the maintenance operation in an efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring compliance to safety and quality standards. This is a full-time role and is based in our Dubai office.
In This Role, You Will
Plan, manage and facilitate the sourcing and project implementation of automation equipment as well as influence process owners/ department heads for effective implementation of automation equipment for long and /or short-term benefits.
Conceptualize, design and execute periodical internal automation efficiency audits in all the business units to identify opportunities for automation improvements and ensure continued compliance of the automation changes to constantly upgrade and achieve world class automation standards.
Regular work audits and inspection of maintenance and repair work carried out by contractors. Ensure conformance to EK standards.
Ensure International and Regulatory requirement on Building and Equipment are adhered to.
Supervise the activities and work of direct reports by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that work with is carried out efficiently in line with the individuals targets.
Manage 3rd party manpower through Coordinator to ensure sufficient coverage is available throughout all facilities on maintenance.
Ensures that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions.
Ensures compliance to all relevant safety policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude and the implementation of BAPP (Behavioural Accident Prevention Process).
Manage budgeted spend on all maintenance and recharge from other units like Facilities Maintenance, Technical Services.
Review and manage service contracts relating to the provision of maintenance services required in all facilities efficiently and cost effectively.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or Honors in Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience in facilities development and maintenance with experience in large industrial warehouse/ Cargo Facility warehouse.
Strong understanding of cargo planning and cargo terminal operability.
Strong Project Management and Facility/ Warehouse Management experience.
Knowledge in Customer SLAs and policies (dnata, Emirates and dnata Cargo)
Advanced knowledge in cargo handling systems, equipment and computer applications.
Advanced understanding of Cargo Regulatory requirements and Freight regulations.
You Will Have An Edge, If You Have
Industrial or Civil Engineering background.
Cargo master planning and design experience
Construction Management Experience
Knowledge of a variety of project management methodologies and practices.
