The F&B Service Expert is a pivotal role at the heart of the hospitality industry, where exemplary service meets culinary delight. As an F&B Service Expert, you will ensure that guests are attended to courteously and efficiently, and all their expectations are exceeded through top-tier service and a deep understanding of the cuisine offered. You will work closely with kitchen staff, management, and event planners to execute successful service delivery, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and adherence to industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guests receive prompt and professional service at all times.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu and beverage offerings.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations daily.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with tact and dedication to service recovery.
  • Facilitate a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure of guests.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members on service excellence techniques.
  • Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
  • Assist in implementing service standards to elevate the guest experience.
  • Maintain an organized work environment while managing time effectively.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Upsell food and beverage items to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations consistently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in an F&B role is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality or culinary institution practices preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software and POS systems is preferred.
  • Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
