Job Description

An F&B (Food and Beverage) Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of all food and beverage-related services within a facility, whether it's a hotel, restaurant, resort, or catering service. This position is all about managing and directing food and beverage operations, which involves a mix of strategic planning and hands-on management. The F&B Manager is responsible for overseeing staff, ensuring the highest quality service, maintaining financials, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Successful F&B Managers have both the business acumen and the interpersonal skills necessary to improve customer satisfaction and maintain a high standard of food and drink. They are committed to creating memorable dining experiences and are passionate about quality and service excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all food and beverage operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability consistently.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of food and beverage staff effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations rigorously.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and manage budgets to control costs.
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to plan new menus regularly.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction through feedback and implement improvement plans.
  • Negotiate contracts and build relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with event planners to ensure successful execution of functions.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery and replenishment of stock and supplies.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints politely and efficiently to resolution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to keep services competitive and innovative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in food and beverage management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage trends and customer preferences.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets and generate financial reports accurately.
  • Proficiency in computer software for managing POS systems and inventory tracking.
