Job Description

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager plays a pivotal role in the seamless operation of the food and beverage services within a hospitality venue. Tasked with ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to quality standards and financial targets, the F&B Manager leads a team that manages all aspects of food service, including menu planning, inventory control, and staff supervision. This dynamic role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a deep commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of food safety standards, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record in F&B management.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the F&B department ensuring high standards of service and quality.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive operational plan for the F&B department.
  • Forecast, plan, and manage all F&B orders, staff, and finance in alignment with budget constraints.
  • Design exceptional restaurant menus that enhance customer satisfaction and meet financial goals.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance while promoting teamwork within the department.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback promptly to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Conduct regular safety, sanitation checks and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor food and beverage stock levels and oversee inventory management to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to coordinate food and beverage offerings to ensure consistency.
  • Develop promotional ideas with marketing team to drive sales and enhance brand presence.
  • Analyze sales data to improve profitability and implement corrective measures where necessary.
  • Organize or supervise all related administrative tasks, including record keeping and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an F&B Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
  • Sound knowledge of F&B operations, including food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to achieve financial objectives.
  • Proficiency with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
