Job Description

An Exhibition Operation Manager is a pivotal role responsible for the effective planning, execution, and closure of exhibitions and related events. This managerial role involves ensuring that exhibitions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The individual in this position will work closely with different departments, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth operations. As the Exhibition Operation Manager, you will coordinate with vendors, manage on-site staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and project management skills, is detail-oriented, and has experience in the events or exhibitions sector. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure to ensure the success of each event.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all operational aspects of exhibitions from conception to completion.
  • Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful exhibition delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and sales teams to align exhibition strategies and goals.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure best pricing for materials.
  • Supervise the setup, on-site management, and dismantling of exhibitions to ensure effectiveness.
  • Ensure exhibitions comply with health, safety, and legal regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and supervision of on-site teams and temporary staff.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine the success of the exhibition and gather insights.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and any required adjustments.
  • Develop risk management plans, anticipating potential issues and implementing contingency strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication between teams to maintain alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Report on project milestones and key performance indicators to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibition, event management, or a similar role.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects with diverse teams efficiently.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the capability to negotiate and manage contracts effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and teams.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management principles.
