As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be the creative genius behind an establishment's dessert offerings, leading the charge to craft delectable pastries, confections, and baked goods that dazzle the senses. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen and its team.
  • Develop new and innovative pastry recipes and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency in all desserts.
  • Train, mentor, and develop the pastry team to improve their skills.
  • Conduct inventory checks and ensure the availability of necessary ingredients.
  • Collaborate with executive chefs to harmonize pastry items with main menu.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and baking areas.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and used safely and properly.
  • Manage costs by minimizing waste and optimizing the use of resources.
  • Stay updated with current pastry trends and incorporate them into menus.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals and feedback.
  • Meet with vendors to negotiate pricing and purchase quality ingredients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
  • Culinary degree or formal training in pastry arts from a recognized institution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent communication.
  • Creative flair and an eye for detail in dessert presentation and design.
  • Sound knowledge of various baking techniques, tools, and ingredients.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
