Job Description

The Executive - Logistics is a key role within our supply chain and operations team, responsible for overseeing the logistics functions and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and materials. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing logistical strategies, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely delivery of products. This position plays a crucial part in optimizing logistics processes, negotiating with vendors, and troubleshooting any issues that may impact the supply chain. Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of logistics operations are essential for this role to ensure that the logistical functions align with the company’s broader objectives. Our Executive - Logistics should have a solution-driven mindset, capable of leadership in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily logistical operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Analyze logistical problems and develop innovative solutions to overcome them.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics operations and performance metrics to management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in logistics operations.
  • Manage and optimize inventory to maintain adequate supply levels and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service, and production teams to align logistics activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with carriers and other logistics partners.
  • Lead and train the logistics team to improve department capabilities and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for logistics process improvements and implement changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
  • Strong understanding of logistics functions, systems, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with vendors and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex logistics problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technologies for tracking and optimizing processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
