Job Description

The Executive - Logistics is a pivotal role that involves the coordination and management of supply chain operations within an organization. As an Executive in the Logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are transported efficiently and safely from origin to destination. You will be tasked with managing logistics personnel, optimizing supply chain processes, and working closely with various stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance service delivery. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational and communication skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to navigate logistics software and have a strategic approach to problem-solving.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations within the logistics department efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of logistics service providers and vendors consistently.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and suppliers to optimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies within logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends and areas for improvement in processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of logistics processes.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to transportation or delivery.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including shipments and receipts.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to logistics personnel to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of logistics systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop KPIs for logistics operations and track progress toward achieving them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure are essential.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with various stakeholders needed.
  • Ability to lead and manage logistics teams effectively in a dynamic environment.
