Estimator - Fitout 18D25

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator for Fitout projects, known as Estimator - Fitout 18D25. This role is pivotal in driving the financial success of our fitout operations through diligent and precise estimation services. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the construction industry's fitout domain, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills. The position involves collaborating closely with various teams to ensure project estimates accurately reflect the scope, cost requirements, and realistic time frames, ultimately supporting successful project delivery. This dynamic role demands a proactive individual who can adeptly handle multiple projects and deliver estimates that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project proposals and assess the financial risks associated with fitout projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by studying architectural plans and specifications.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and construction teams to clarify project specifications.
• Review and evaluate historical data and current trends for accurate project cost evaluations.
• Draft comprehensive budget estimates, forecasts, and relevant financial reports for stakeholders.
• Identify and assess potential financial impacts of project decisions and alterations.
• Negotiate costs with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of material prices and industry developments.
• Support project managers with insights into cost-saving opportunities and financial strategies.
• Manage and update a database of historical fitout costs for future reference.
• Collaborate with project teams to streamline the planning and delivery of fitout projects.
• Ensure all financial estimates align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in the fitout sector.
• Strong understanding of fitout processes and associated cost structures.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively.
• Attention to detail with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
