An Estimation Engineer specializing in Instrumentation plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects by diligently preparing cost estimates and ensuring project feasibility. Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements to develop comprehensive instrumentation cost estimates.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather detailed specifications and project data.
• Review and analyze technical drawings and specifications to create accurate estimates.
• Prepare and present detailed project cost analyses to stakeholders for approval.
• Evaluate and update estimation methods and tools to enhance estimation accuracy.
• Work closely with the procurement department to obtain accurate material and subcontractor costs.
• Develop and maintain a database of estimation work to track trends and inform future projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications in all estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers to define scope and ensure budgets align with project goals.
• Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure estimates are reflective of actual conditions.
• Assist in risk assessment processes to identify potential project cost overruns and delays.
• Provide feedback and support in the preparation of project bids and tender documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in instrumentation or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation within the instrumentation industry.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation systems and related cost components.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with effective time management and organization skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements for projects.
