Job Description

As an Estimation Engineer, you will play a critical role in our engineering and construction projects by analyzing project requirements and crafting accurate cost estimates. Your expertise will guide project planning and execution by delivering estimates that reflect the project's material, labor, and time requirements. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors, ensuring that all aspects of the project are financially sound and feasible. Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of various engineering disciplines are crucial, as is the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner. Responsibilities

  • Analyze project blueprints and specifications to gather critical estimation data.
  • Collaborate with project managers to determine scope and operational requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates based on material, labor, and equipment needs.
  • Develop and maintain estimation norms and standards for ongoing projects.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate optimal pricing and contract terms.
  • Create budget estimates and procurement plans aligned with client expectations.
  • Continuously monitor project costs to ensure estimates remain accurate and relevant.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Consult with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and constraints.
  • Generate comprehensive estimation reports for internal and client presentations.
  • Engage in market research to remain updated on pricing trends and innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and corporate policies in estimates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in estimation or engineering roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate financial assessments.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines consistently.
  • Detailed understanding of construction processes and engineering principles desired.
