An ERP Sales Consultant acts as a pivotal connection between a company and its potential clients, engaging deeply with decision-makers to present and sell ERP solutions that align with business needs. They possess an in-depth understanding of ERP software and its application in streamlining various business processes. This role demands a dynamic, highly motivated professional with excellent communication and consultative selling skills. The ideal candidate will excel at establishing strong client relationships, assessing business processes, and identifying areas where ERP implementations can propel operational efficiency. As an integral part of the sales team, they should exhibit persistence and resourcefulness, constantly exploring new business opportunities and nurturing long-term relationships to drive growth and revenue. The role requires staying abreast of ERP market trends and competitors to effectively position solutions to meet the evolving needs of clients across diverse industries.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve ERP sales targets and objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to understand client needs and provide suitable ERP solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through effective communication.
  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers within the target market and value chain.
  • Present and demonstrate ERP solutions to prospective clients showcasing their benefits and features.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless implementation of ERP solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits and client satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing account and relationship management post-implementation of ERP systems.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to remain competitive in the industry.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales forecasts, customer needs, problems, and competitive activities.
  • Participate in educational opportunities and industry workshops to enhance product knowledge.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service and post-sale support.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in ERP sales, ideally within a similar industry sector.
  • Strong understanding of ERP software solutions and their benefits to business processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a driven environment.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools to track progress.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and conduct business.
