Job Description

We’re looking for a full-time Episode Editor to take full ownership of post-production for #ABtalks episodes, from raw footage to a final-ready master. You’ll shape pacing, emotion, and storytelling while maintaining the show’s signature tone and visual consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit full-length episodes end-to-end (multi-cam interview format).
  • Build the story: structure, pacing, tension/release, and emotional beats.
  • Sync and organize multi-camera footage + audio; manage selects and timelines.
  • Color correction and basic grading to match the show’s look (or prep for final grade).
  • Audio cleanup/mixing basics (dialog clarity, levels, noise reduction) or coordinate with sound if applicable.
  • Integrate graphics, subtitles/captions, cutaways/B-roll, and archival where needed.
  • Smart cropping if needed that would not be noticeable.
  • Create deliverables: final masters, social cutdowns (if required), and platform-specific exports.
  • Maintain clean project organization (bins, naming conventions, backups, versioning).
  • Collaborate closely with the release and production coordinator, producer, consultant as well for notes and revisions under deadlines.
  • Ensure consistency across episodes (style, rhythm, branding, technical specs).

Requirements

  • Strong narrative editing skills (interview/story-driven content).
  • Proven experience delivering full episodes (podcast/interview/docu-style).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Avid/DaVinci Resolve—specify your pipeline).
  • Confident workflow with multi-cam, proxies, and shared storage.
  • Strong understanding of dialogue-driven pacing and emotional storytelling.
  • High attention to detail, deadlines, and feedback cycles.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (depending on your episodes; add requirements as needed).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with long-form talk shows or documentary edits.
  • After Effects basics (titles, lower thirds, simple animations).
  • Experience with Arabic subtitle standards and readability.
  • DaVinci Resolve color workflow familiarity.

What Success Looks Like

  • Episodes that feel emotionally true, tightly paced, and consistent with the #ABtalks identity.
  • Fast, organized turnovers and smooth revision cycles.
  • Reliable delivery of final exports meeting technical specs.

To Apply

Please share:

  • Portfolio links (2–3 relevant long-form edits)
  • Your role in each project
  • Software used + availability
  • Optional: a short note on your editing approach for interview storytelling
