We are welcoming applications from outstanding Secondary Environmental Sciences Teachers interested in joining GEMS International School – Dubai Hills from January 2027.
We welcome experienced IB educators as well as outstanding teachers from British and other international curricula who are passionate about inquiry-led learning and inspiring confident, curious learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and global awareness.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel challenged, supported and empowered.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the curriculum and share best practice.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, enrichment opportunities and professional learning.
- Uphold the values of GEMS Education and the IB Learner Profile.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Science/Biology
- A minimum of 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience teaching Secondary Environmental Science, ideally within an IB Curriculum School (preferred but not essential).
- Experience teaching MYP/DP is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry based teaching.
- The vision, energy, commitment, and educational philosophy to contribute to the continued success of a leading flagship GEMS school with an international student body.
- A desire to grow professionally and work within a collaborative, forward-thinking community.
- Available to start from January 2027
