Job Description

Due to the continued success of GEMS Metropole School Al Waha, we are looking to recruit a Year 3 to Year 5 Teacher for August 2026.

Skills

Successful candidates will need to:

• Embody and role model our core values of curiosity, confidence, creativity, respect, and kindness
• Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent in Primary Education or a relevant subject
• Have proven experience of teaching in Year 3–Year 5 (KS2 or equivalent)
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive learning experiences
• Bring a creative and enthusiastic approach, both inside and outside the classroom
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students, and parents
• Have a strong track record of outstanding teaching and learning
• Show aspiration to work in a world-class school with opportunities for career progression
• Be willing to actively contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and events

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Primary Education or a related field
• Proven experience teaching Year 3–Year 5 (or equivalent KS2 experience)
• Teaching certification (PGCE / PGDE or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective pedagogical practice
• A passion for inspiring young learners and supporting their academic and personal development
• A proven track record of excellent classroom practice and student outcomes
