About the Job

We are seeking an MEP Engineer to join our Operations & Facilities Management team at Global Village. This role is responsible for managing and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the destination to ensure operational efficiency, asset reliability, regulatory compliance and exceptional guest experiences.

• Manage and monitor MEP systems and services to ensure optimum operational performance and minimal downtime across the destination.
• Supervise contractors, suppliers and service providers to ensure engineering services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed standards.
• Oversee the planning and execution of preventive maintenance programmes to maximise asset performance and lifecycle efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections, technical audits and quality assessments to ensure compliance with operational, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support the preparation and technical evaluation of MEP scopes of work, service contracts and engineering solutions.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation measures to improve service availability, reliability and business continuity.
• Support project handovers through technical document reviews, snag management and coordination during the defect liability period.
• Drive value engineering, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise operational performance, asset management and cost efficiency.

About You

Essential

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience within Facilities Management environments supporting MEP operations and maintenance activities.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems and building services infrastructure.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers in a facilities management environment.
• Good understanding of building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements, standards and safe working practices.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programmes, technical inspections and operational compliance activities.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management and technical evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in project coordination, contract administration and computer applications.

Desired

• Experience within theme parks, entertainment attractions, retail, hospitality or large public venues.
• Professional training or certifications in Facilities Management, Project Management or QHSE.
• Experience supporting project handovers, snag management and defect liability period coordination.
• Knowledge of specialised systems such as generators, lighting systems, fire life safety systems and other critical infrastructure assets.
• Experience conducting technical audits, asset lifecycle reviews and maintenance optimisation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to identify value engineering opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
