Engineer - Landscaping

Job Description

To carry out daytoday landscape supervision activities, including but not limited to: Supervise the Landscape employees at sites throughout the UAE, ensuring they carry out their duties in an approved, professional, and safe manner. Conduct scheduled and unscheduled site inspections and write reports detailing the site conditions, including photos, causes, and improvements needed with an action plan. Conduct site assessments and write reports in the approved format, in a timely manner, for Business Development to quote the site tender. Ensure compliance of all KPIs, company policies, safety standards and guidelines, scheduling, transportation, and reporting requirements. Take the initiative to identify areas of improvement on the site, including variations, and particularly to ensure the safety of all: employees, visitors, residents, etc. at the site.

• This position requires extensive documentation and reporting, including but not limited to site assessments for improvements/variations, safety hazards, business opportunities, etc, as needed or directed.
• Professional and productive interacting with clients, vendors, employees, management, government entities, etc. is crucial to this role.
  
  

• As above concise, accurate, professional and articulate reporting both written and verbal.
• Time management is a crucial skill needed to manage the myriad responsibilities listed.
  
  

• Must possess the ability to self-supervise, have excellent time-management skills, be organized, have the outstanding ability to manage a diverse team in a way that improves morale and productivity, respects all employees, clients, government entities, etc. and brings credit to the Al Ghurair organization.
  
  

• The person in this position is expected to identify problems, propose and implement solutions, constantly look for business opportunities, encourage, monitor, and mentor landscape employees, and strive for excellence through constant improvement.
  
  

• PREFERRED : Landscape Supervision Experience in the GCC
• MINIMUM : Agricultural Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized college or university, with an Agricultural License in any emirate of the UAE .
  
  

• Landscape skills, including but not limited to knowledge of planting, trimming, pruning, lawn mower operation, irrigation types and operation, plant/tree identification and care, fertilizer use and application, and experience with and demonstrated proficiency in landscape machinery operation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, with proficiency in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  
  

• PREFERRED : 2+ years.
• MINIMUM : New Graduate ok.
