Job Description Summary

The Gas Turbine Product Service Engineer will provide technical guidance and support of Gas Turbine Internal and external customers. In this role you will be responsible for customer technical issue resolution for Gas Turbine ranging from day-to-day technical troubleshooting to major and complex root cause analyses with long-term business implications to GE and our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration. Maintenance of fleet data, outage management.
  
  
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  
  
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  
  
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  
  
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  
  

• BSc in Engineering, specifically Mechanical, Chemical, Aeronautical, or Controls Engineering.
  
  
• Max 3 years of work experience
  
  
• Basic knowledge in at least one or more of the following domains related to Gas Turbines (either annular or can-annular):
• Operation and maintenance
  
  
• Services and troubleshooting
  
  
• Engineering and design
  
  
• Combustion operability
  
  
• Root cause investigation / technical issues resolution
  

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  
  
• High level of emotional intelligence
  
  
• Energetic and self starter
