Engineer - Electrical

Job Description

• Coordinate maintenance team to implement an approved maintenance program in order to achieve agreed service levels and reduce downtime and wastage to meet the overall business objective.
• Maintain documentation by capturing machine breakdowns and downtime through data collection in order to measure the rate of machine breakdowns and formulate long term solutions.
• Recommend for re-furbishing, replacements, alterations and automation of specific operations based on age analysis, downtime and utilisation of machinery in order to optimize production and reduce costs.
• Sensitize staff members to safety and discipline and maintenance standards in order to avoid accidents and downtime at work.
• Train upskill Maintenance Staff regularly in order to meet and minimise downtime and optimize productivity.
• Checks and ascertains the quantity and quality of all electrical parts ordered by the maintenance department in order to confirm that item specifications meets all the requirements.
• Maintenance of electrical spares stock control of fast moving items in order to reduce buying lead time and machine downtime.
