As an Engine Overhaul Technician at EEMC, you will mentor mechanics and carry out Assembly, Disassembly, Cleaning, Inspection, Repairs, Refurbishment, Testing, Troubleshooting, modifications and rectification on all types of aircraft engines, engine systems, engine components to a high standard at the Engine Maintenance Centre (EEMC) / Engine overhaul workshop (EOW), to hold approval to certify own tasks in accordance with Airworthiness requirements of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and in accordance with company procedures.
In This Role You Will
Cary out regular maintenance and repair work on engines, modules, piece parts, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly. Ensuring all tools and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition before starting any maintenance task.
Ensure all allocated tasks given by lead Technician / Engineer and Line Manager are completed as per the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) data and EEMC documentation and procedures.
Monitor the activities and work of peers and new technicians, where necessary provide mentoring and guidance to ensure that work with is carried out safely and efficiently.
Complete tasks accurately by utilising knowledge of the engine overhaul process, company procedures as well as the use of the Engine shop manual ESM, Illustrated Parts catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), ensuring paperwork and MRO ERP (IFS) system tasks are completed progressively and in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure that attendance aligns with established shift patterns and that clock-in and clock-out times are accurately recorded for each task, actively preventing delays in Turnaround Time, and improving the performance and efficiency of technical operations.
Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders about engine issues, repair progress, and maintenance recommendations.
Ensure to stay updated on the latest companys engineering procedure Quality Assurance notes, technical notes, tools, and repair techniques through continuous education and training.
Create a safe working environment by adhering safety standards and promptly reporting all safety hazards, events, and injuries.
Qualification
To be considered for this position, you must meet the below requirements:
Experience of 5+ years in aviation maintenance environment as an Aircraft Engine Technician with a reputable airline or MRO company.
Graduate Diploma (12+2) or
Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or
Equivalent Training with a reputable Airline or an Approved Aircraft Maintenance Organisation or
Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
Engine Assembly & Disassembly.
Experienced and competent in arrival/ Incoming inspections and health checks inclusive of Borescope inspections, removal and installation of components, external ducts and plumbing, engine mounts and major modules.
Ability to use measuring equipment and carry out any calculations to confirm serviceability, additionally competent in visual inspection.
Competent and experienced with Reviewing / Understanding / Actioning Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs).
Module Assembly & Disassembly.
Experienced and competent in module and sub module disassembly and assembly, inclusive of balancing, stack prediction and ability to use measuring equipment and carry out any calculations to confirm serviceability, additionally competent in visual inspection.
Cleaning
Experienced and competent all types of cleaning of piece part / modules / engines and components. Inclusive of Chemical, Mechanical and hand cleaning.
Inspection
Experienced and competent in all types of inspection of piece part/modules/ engines and components.
Competent and experienced in identifying all defects and assessing against ESM limits, assessing repair possibilities and dispositioning accordingly.
Competent in use of all measuring equipment inclusive of CMM, Farrow Armand Shadow Graph.
Repair
Experienced and competent in all types of repairs of piece part / modules / engines and components. Inclusive of bench fitting, machining, etching, painting and composite repairs.
Competent in use of all measuring equipment and visual inspection.
Test Cell
Experienced and competent in engine test preparation, inclusive of incoming / arrival inspections, installation and removal of test enabling hardware and components.
Competent and experienced in defect rectification troubleshooting. Competent in test cell scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Repair / Process
Task certification (self, once obtained relevant authorisation), Cleaning, Inspection, Repair and Modification of aircraft components and parts as defined within the engine shop capability list.
Borescope Inspection (once obtained relevant authorisation), as per AMM / EM / SBs.
Preservation and Fan Module minimum modular inspection.
