As Engine Overhaul Engineer II you will oversee engine overhaul activities from disassembly through to testing and release to service, ensuring all work is performed to the highest safety, quality, regulatory, and airworthiness standards and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendation.

In This Tole You Will

  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) data, as well as EEMC/EOW documentation, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support Engineers, Senior Technicians, Technicians, and Mechanics, ensuring work is completed efficiently and aligned with individual performance objectives. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to address performance gaps and support continuous improvement.
  • Perform and oversee maintenance activities using expertise in engine overhaul processes, company procedures, and approved maintenance data, including ESM, IPC, CMM, SBs and ADs. Ensure all maintenance records, paperwork, and MRO ERP transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize approved tooling, equipment, and facilities to carry out maintenance activities safely and to the highest quality standards. Ensure team compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment in line with EEMC/EOW Safety Policies. Report safety and quality non-conformances promptly, take immediate action to mitigate unsafe conditions, and ensure incidents, hazards, and near-miss events are reported and escalated to the Line Manager or Operations Manager as required.
  • Monitor attendance and ensure team compliance with approved shift patterns. Address attendance and conduct issues in accordance with company policies and disciplinary procedures. Lead daily toolbox talks when required, actively participate in operational meetings, and drive initiatives that improve processes, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Develop and coach team members by providing technical training, mentoring, and guidance. Support Technicians in achieving self-certification approvals, prepare Senior Technicians for Inspector approvals, and identify development opportunities to enhance capability, skills, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Manage workforce planning effectively using the approved roster system, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet operational requirements while maintaining overtime within budgeted limits.
  • Set annual performance goals and competency expectations for team members, conducting regular quarterly and annual performance reviews to support development and business objectives.

Qualification

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering in Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Maintenance, Avionics, Electronics Tech Engineering or Valid Maintenance Engineering Licence or Apprenticeship (at least 2 years).
  • 9+ years in aviation maintenance or MRO environment with at least 2 years certifying experience as an Approval Holder in a reputable airline or MRO company.
  • Must hold the relevant Engine overhaul workshop approval/authorisation.
