Job Description

As an ELV Senior Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, essential for ensuring modern infrastructure operates efficiently. This role demands an in-depth knowledge of various systems, including but not limited to, CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation and integration of complex systems across diverse environments such as commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. As a Senior Technician, you will also be responsible for leading teams, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The role requires critical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to technological advancements in the field of ELV systems.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation and configuration of ELV systems to meet project specifications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on installed ELV systems promptly.
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians to enhance their skills and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure system reliability and functionality.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure objectives are achieved on time.
  • Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Document all service and installation actions comprehensively for future reference.
  • Utilize diagnostic software and tools to enhance service quality and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and incorporate best practices into daily work.
  • Plan and execute upgrades and modifications to existing systems as required.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and implementation strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an ELV technician, preferably with a senior role.
  • Expert knowledge of CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience in team management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and teams.
  • Certification or training in ELV systems, electronics, or related fields is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project locations.
