Job Description

The ELV Senior Technician plays a crucial role in the planning, installation, maintenance, and upgrading of Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems, which can include security systems, CCTV, fire alarms, and more. Working within dynamic and technologically driven environments, the ELV Senior Technician ensures that these systems are running optimally to guarantee adequate safety and security for both residential and commercial properties. This position requires deep technical knowledge and proficiency in handling complex electrical systems, along with strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve any issues promptly. Excellent communication skills are also essential as you'll work closely with project managers, clients, and other technicians, ensuring that the projects align with client needs and standards.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, install, and maintain various types of Extra-Low Voltage systems effectively.
  • Diagnose faults and troubleshoot issues with all installed ELV systems efficiently.
  • Supervise the work of junior technicians and provide on-the-job training and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry standards, codes, and safety regulations consistently.
  • Liaise with other departments and clients to coordinate effectively on project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on all installed systems and their statuses.
  • Conduct regular inspections of systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance plans for all ELV systems on site.
  • Attend project meetings to deliver progress updates and technical insights to stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and dispatch requests with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in ELV systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical diploma or equivalent qualifications in electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Familiarity with programming and configuration of various ELV systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations applicable to electrical installations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
