What You'll Do
You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:
You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment and to ensure work is done to code. Perform preventive maintenance and tests all electrical systems, sub-systems and equipment which includes disassembly, replacement, cleaning and repair. Assembles and disassembles power and lighting equipment for exhibits, meetings and banquets.
Complete electrical maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis, participate in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms, and complete other special projects assigned.
Responds to guest calls, resolves guest complaints and responds to emergency situations to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
You’ll also maintain engineering area, clean and in an orderly manner. Keep close coordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager.

Will ensure implementation of Dorchester Collection Policies, Standards and Procedures in relation to Engineering fairly and consistently.
Will be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe working environment for self and for others.

What You'll Bring
You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or 2 Years Trade Course on Electrical. Technical Trade Course Certificate in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanics/HVAC-R or related. Electronic Technician certification or comparable certification or licensure required. Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/Mechanical/plumbing.
At least 3 years’ experience in facility management with minimum 1 year in international 5-star Hotel luxury brand. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in an Electrician or similar role. Pre-Opening experience is preferred.
You have a talent for Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on various MEP systems and equipment. Repairing Electrical related equipment or systems using the needed tools. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures such as walkways, parking lots, and guest facilities. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures. Able to read Building, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical drawings. Analytical & critical thinking skills. Able to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process. Able to work alone with minimum supervision and within a team.
Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
