Job Description

James L. Williams Middle East is seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Site Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical installation activities, coordinating site resources, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and delivering works safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor electrical installation works in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
  • Prepare material take-offs and monitor material requirements and deliveries.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
  • Raise RFIs and follow up on approvals and clarifications.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements and support inspection and testing activities.
  • Monitor site progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Coordinate local authority submissions and approvals where required.
  • Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including progress records, redline drawings, and as-built information.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE requirements

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction projects.
  • Experience in Data Centre projects will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with UAE electrical codes, standards, and authority requirements.
  • Experience in reviewing shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspections, and testing requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project documentation.
