An Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical activities on construction sites. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all electrical systems and installations meet project specifications and safety standards. The Electrical Site Engineer collaborates with architects, contractors, and other engineers to execute the electrical aspects of various construction projects. The engineer must be knowledgeable about electrical design and implementation, well-versed in local and national electrical codes, and capable of troubleshooting electrical issues. This position requires both strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to deliver successful project outcomes within stipulated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor electrical site activities to ensure adherence to project plans.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant codes and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineers for smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality standards for electrical work.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems and components.
• Review electrical plans and specifications prior to project commencement.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical system issues to ensure continuous operations.
• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all electrical site activities.
• Prepare and submit reports outlining site progress and any encountered issues.
• Engage in risk assessment to mitigate potential hazards at the construction site.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the site construction teams and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a construction setting.
• Proficient understanding of electrical design, systems, and construction processes.
• Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an aptitude for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
