Job Description

As an Electrical Inspector in the field of construction and maintenance, you will be a critical team member responsible for ensuring electrical systems' compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Situated within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will perform routine inspections, supervise the installation of electrical systems, and ensure they adhere to engineering specifications, local authority regulations, and safety standards. You must possess a keen eye for detail, as this role involves rigorous scrutiny of electrical installations and equipment to guarantee the highest quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to ensure specification adherence.
  • Verify compliance of electrical installations with local codes and safety standards.
  • Document and report findings from inspections with detailed accuracy and clarity.
  • Provide guidance and advice to contractors on electrical compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers to resolve any electrical inspection issues promptly.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of inspections and compliance documents.
  • Participate in planning meetings to advise on electrical systems and code issues.
  • Investigate electrical failures and incidents to provide expert analysis and feedback.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of electrical safety policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Support the training of junior staff and apprentices in inspection procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for electrical systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years experience in electrical inspection or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and observational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting inspection findings and consultations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to achieve inspection goals.
  • Proficient with inspection tools and technology for electrical systems analysis.
