Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and site-oriented Electrical Engineer with 7–10 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning within industrial, infrastructure, and utility-related construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise across the full electrical scope and be capable of independently managing site activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and supervise electrical installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and safety requirements.
Handle complete electrical site activities including lighting systems, earthing, power distribution, panels, UPS systems, fire alarm systems, instrumentation, cabling, glanding, and termination works.
Conduct electrical testing and commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, Megger testing, continuity testing, loop testing, and basic instrument calibration.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure timely execution of works.
Troubleshoot and resolve site-level electrical and instrumentation issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Review and maintain electrical documentation, test reports, as-built drawings, method statements, and commissioning records.
Support commissioning activities involving PLC/HMI/SCADA systems where applicable.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE regulations at site.
Monitor work progress, manpower productivity, and material requirements to meet project schedules.
Participate in inspections, testing procedures, and project handover activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
7-10 years of site-based experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning within buildings and infrastructure projects.
Candidates from closely related water-based industrial applications (pumping systems, water/sewage pumping stations, district cooling plants with water systems exposure) may also be considered.
Strong hands-on experience across the full electrical scope, including lighting, earthing, panels, instrumentation, fire systems, UPS, cabling, glanding, and termination.
Site experience must be primarily on industrial or infrastructure construction projects; candidates with experience mainly limited to residential buildings, O&M-only roles, medium/high-voltage works, or panel building alone are not preferred.
Experience in electrical testing and commissioning, including FATs, SATs, Megger testing, loop testing, and basic instrument calibration.
Exposure to PLC/HMI/SCADA commissioning is an advantage (training or certification preferred).
Ability to work independently on construction sites, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and resolve site-level technical issues.
Proficiency in electrical documentation; familiarity with electrical design tools is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and power distribution systems
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
