Electrical Draughtsman

The Electrical Draughtsman is responsible for preparing electrical schematics, layout plans, and wiring diagrams for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. This role works closely with electrical engineers and site teams to ensure accurate technical representation and compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates should be proficient in AutoCAD and possess a strong grasp of electrical design concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.

• Prepare detailed layout plans for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems.

• Coordinate with engineers to understand project requirements.

• Ensure all designs comply with local and international electrical codes.

• Maintain accurate drawing records and document control.

• Revise drawings based on engineering feedback and site conditions.

• Assist in preparing as-built drawings upon project completion.

• Identify inconsistencies in designs and suggest improvements.

• Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure alignment.

• Use CAD tools for precision in design and annotation.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical certification.

• 2–4 years of experience as an Electrical Draughtsman.

• Proficient in AutoCAD (electrical module experience preferred).

• Knowledge of MEP systems and electrical symbols/standards.

• Familiarity with electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).

• Good organizational and documentation skills.

• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
