About The Community

Ministic School is a Nursery to Grade 10 School with 18 students. The school is located on an island in the beautiful community of Gods Lake Narrows which has 100 residents and is approximately one and half hours flying time northeast of Winnipeg. This lakeside community offers services such as a northern store, grocery store, federal nursing station, community hall and a fishing lodge. Gods Lake Narrows is on one of Manitobas prime fishing lakes and is an outdoorsmans paradise.

• Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
• A sound knowledge of provincial curricula
• Previous teaching experience
• A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
• Strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
• Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
