Job Summary:
E-Commerce Executive within GMG’s Everyday Goods division, plays a vital role in managing online sales channels, optimizing product listings, and supporting the growth of key e-commerce accounts. Reporting to the General Manager - Sales & Distribution, the incumbent is responsible for executing e-commerce strategies, coordinating with marketing and logistics teams, and ensuring that GMG’s products achieve maximum visibility and sales on digital platforms. This position is essential in building GMG’s online presence, enhancing customer experience, and driving revenue through key e-commerce accounts.
Job Description:
The incumbent is responsible for executing e-commerce initiatives that support GMG’s online sales goals and enhance product visibility across digital platforms.
They manage product listings, including writing product descriptions, optimizing keywords, and ensuring accurate pricing, inventory, and availability.
The incumbent collaborates with the marketing team to create and implement digital marketing campaigns, coordinating promotions and seasonal sales activities to maximize online engagement and conversions.
They monitor sales performance, analyzing metrics such as conversion rates, page views, and cart abandonment to improve the overall online shopping experience.
The incumbent works closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to shipping or stock availability.
They also liaise with key e-commerce partners, such as online marketplaces and digital retail platforms, to maintain strong relationships and secure prime product placements.
Additionally, the incumbent supports content updates on e-commerce platforms, assists in managing customer feedback, and implements strategies to improve ratings and reviews.
They prepare regular performance reports for the General Manager, providing insights and recommendations to optimize e-commerce strategies and achieve sales targets.
Functional / Technical Competencies:
The incumbent must demonstrate a solid understanding of e-commerce operations, including digital marketing, product listing management, and online customer experience optimization.
Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and analytics tools is essential for tracking sales metrics, managing inventory, and refining content.
The incumbent should have strong organizational skills to handle multiple e-commerce accounts and ensure data accuracy across platforms.
Effective communication skills are required for collaboration with internal teams and managing relationships with key e-commerce partners.
