Job Description

As a Duty Manager in the Food Section, you play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the daily operations of the food department within our establishment. Your leadership and organizational skills will ensure that our food section operates efficiently, meets quality and customer service standards, and complies with health and safety regulations. The role demands a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possessing the ability to manage staff effectively, resolve issues promptly, and continuously improve service delivery. You will also contribute to strategic planning and manage financial aspects to drive the success of our food section, delivering an exceptional customer experience.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the food section, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock levels and ensure product availability.
  • Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and service efficiency.
  • Address customer feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with management to align operations with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure procedural compliance and identify improvement areas.
  • Facilitate team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and address challenges.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning optimally.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process for new staff members.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a duty manager or in a supervisory role within the food industry.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.
