About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Duty Manager - Engineering to join Jumeirah Saadiyat Island

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Shift Leadership: Supervise engineering and buggy teams during shifts, ensuring proper deployment and adherence to SOPs.
• Preventive & Reactive Maintenance: Monitor completion of PM tasks, prioritize urgent repairs, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Fleet & Equipment Readiness: Verify operational status of buggies, charging/fueling, and cleanliness; check engineering tools and emergency equipment.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce HSE protocols, permit-to-work, PPE usage, and buggy safety standards; coordinate with Security and HSE for audits and incidents.
• Incident Management: Respond to breakdowns, utility outages, and transport delays; prepare detailed reports and escalate critical issues.
• VIP & Event Coordination: Manage buggy scheduling for VIP guests and large events; ensure engineering support for setups and activations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Events for operational requirements; coordinate with vendors for urgent repairs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs in CMMS/CAFM for engineering tasks and buggy dispatch records; ensure audit readiness.
• Team Coaching: Conduct shift briefings, provide on-the-job training to P1/O4 teams, and reinforce safety and service standards.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Transport Operations
• Valid UAE Driving License
• Health & Safety Certification 
• First Aid/CPR Training
• 3 – 5 years combined experience in engineering and/or transportation operations within luxury hospitality 
• 1 – 2 years in a supervisory or shift leadership role
