Schneider Electric offers an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual in the role of Drive Product Application Expert. The primary role of this position is to promote the sales of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) and Solid State Reduced Voltage (Soft-starts)

 

This position is accountable for the promotion, sale and support of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) and Soft-starts. We are looking for an aggressive, motivated, self-starter who understands all aspects motor control. A strong technical knowledge in the sale and application of VFD’s, enclosed VFD’s, motor control and soft-starts is required. Additionally having solid contacts and relationships with customers in Tennessee is a plus. The right candidate enjoys a fast paced, high growth environment with a focus on results and providing superior solutions for the customer.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Applies a consultative solution selling approach to the market and possesses the skills necessary for dealing with specific target audiences such as OEM’s, End Users, consultants, and the Schneider Electric direct sales force and distribution channel.
  • Provides application, technical and commercial support to the Schneider Electric distributors and customers.
  • Provides technical training sessions in a professional presentation format for engineers, customer personnel, internal sales and industry professionals.
  • Increases sales by sharing application knowledge with Drive PAEs, SE Sales people, and Channel partners
  • Develops and coordinate a network of Partners - i.e. Panel Builders, Contractors, OEMs
  • Sets goals and objectives, develops sales/business plans, establishes call plans and strategies,
  • Develops account profiles and executes the sales plan for obtaining year over year sales growth.
  • Provides call activity reporting and consistent activity updates through Salesforce.com
  • Support Field sales, Channel managers, Channels to close VSD Deals with End Users

  • Specify Schneider Electric Drives in Customers specification & Convert Competition specifications to Schneider Electric

  • Answer customer requests asking the Help desk for Solutions

  • External VSD Advanced Trainings (Customer Workshops)

  • Develop VSD Application Notes

  • Report Success stories to the Product Marketing

  • Prepare quotations for Customers with VSD Solutions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in sales and a keen understanding of field concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Experience applying Variable Frequency Drives is required.
  • Education: Minimum B.S. in technical field (electrical, mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Self starter and effective communicator who is passionate about his/her position and committed to fostering a team approach and successful results.
  • Language: Fluent in English. Good command of vocabulary.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to address small and large groups of professionals in electro-mechanical disciplines.
  • Computer Skills: Web navigation, MS Office, Multi-media utilization, Webinar skills,
