Draughtsman

Job Description

Draughtsman to transform rough sketches, specifications, and calculations from engineers and architects into accurate, technical blueprints. You will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure all designs comply with safety codes and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Create Drawings: Produce detailed 2D layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
• Incorporate Specs: Review sketches, notes, and dimensions from engineers to create accurate schematics.
• Coordinate Changes: Modify existing drawings based on site changes, "as-built" requirements, or client feedback.
• Check Standards: Ensure all designs comply with local building regulations, safety codes, and company standards.
• Material Take-offs: Assist project teams in calculating material quantities and dimensions from finalized plans.
• Document Control: Maintain an organized digital archive of all drawing revisions, structural plans, and blueprints
  
  

• Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of Revit (BIM) or 3D Max is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, engineering symbols, and drafting standards.
• Sharp eye for dimensions, spacing, and structural alignment to prevent errors on-site.
