Draughtsman

Job Description

A Draughtsman is a technical professional responsible for converting design concepts, sketches, and engineering specifications into precise, actionable technical drawings and blueprints. In modern environments, this role primarily utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to facilitate construction, manufacturing, or facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings (shop drawings, layouts, sections) based on sketched and specification provided by architects or engineers.
• Update and maintain existing drawings to reflect "as-built" conditions after on-site modifications or renovations.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and incorporate feedback.
• Perform structural and mathematical calculations for materials requirements and weight limitations and dimensions.
• Ensure all final designs meet local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality or Civil Defense standards).
• Manage drawing registers and update versions based on client feedback or site revisions.
  
  

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture, or a technical Diploma / associate degree Tn CAD and Drafting
• 1-3 years of experience
