A Draftsman, also known as a drafter, plays a pivotal role in the design and construction industries by preparing technical drawings and plans. As a Draftsman, you will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that the drawings meet specified requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software and traditional drafting techniques.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure drawings align with project specifications.
• Interpret rough sketches and design ideas provided by project leaders into detailed drawings.
• Review and update drawings according to client feedback and project modifications.
• Ensure that the drawings are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with different departments to integrate various components of a design project.
• Maintain an organized archive of drawings and update them as changes occur.
• Participate in project meetings to understand client needs and project goals thoroughly.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior draftsmen and new team members.
• Utilize knowledge of codes and regulations in creating accurate construction documents.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, if necessary, to inform drawing accuracy.
• Assure the quality and accuracy of finished drawings before submission to clients.

Requirements

• Associate degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of drafting techniques and engineering terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and high-level accuracy in work outputs.
• Ability to understand complex technical orders accurately and thoroughly.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to foresee and resolve potential issues.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
